Deaf & Disabled People in TV (DDPTV) is a disabled-led organisation made up of people who work in the industry. Our focus is on elevating off-screen Deaf, Disabled and Neurodivergent talent within the TV industry.

Bryony Arnold
Director

Bryony is a disabled Drama Executive Producer whose credits include Then Barbara Met Alan, Treason for Netflix, and multiple series of the BAFTA award-winning Peaky Blinders. She is currently Exec Producing two new disability-led dramas series for the BBC and ITV.

As a loud and proud wheelchair user, she’s passionate about championing disabled talent in the television industry, and aspires to create an inclusive environment for all to work in. DDPTV reignited her passion for disability advocacy, and she has found a beautiful community she didn’t realise was missing in her life… 

Plus she has the cutest dog in the world. FACT.

Caroline O’Neill
Director

Caroline is a disabled Unscripted Assistant Commissioner at the BBC with over 20-years industry experience. Previous productions include: Joe and John Bishop: Life After Deaf, The Rap Game UK, Disability & Abortion: The Hardest Choice and Living the Cornish Dream.

When not making television or watching television, Caroline likes to talk about television. Hobbies include experimental cooking, watching sign song videos and visiting companies to see how many disabled people they don’t have on their team.

Caroline was the recipient of the 2022 Pact Unsung Hero tribute.

Charlie Pheby
Director

Charlie is a disabled Executive Casting and Talent Producer with 20 years’ experience working both sides of the Atlantic, Asia and Australasia. Credits include Nat Geo’s Mygrations, Discovery’s Trailblazers and India’s Ultimate Warrior, BBC’s Old Before My Time and Dangerous Borders: A Journey Across India & Pakistan, ITV’s Life On Marbs and The Magaluf Weekender, all the way back to Come Dine with Me and Queer Eye From The Straight Guy U.K and U.S.A. He delivers dynamic casts, robust stories, and collaborations with the best emerging and established talent. With a desire to champion underrepresented talent on and off-screen, he sits on panels and steering groups for BAFTA, PACT, The Creative Diversity Network and Film & TV Charity.

He’s often seen in Zoom sessions telling off his dog in the background.

Lauren Cissé
Personal Assistant

Lauren has debuted short films across multiple film festivals and uses their skills and experience as a disabled person to support fellow disabled filmmakers and amplify marginalised voices. Lauren aspires to produce and develop content in Film and TV Drama.

Lauren was selected as a runner up for both Hastings & London Rocks International Film Festival, Best Student Film category and as a Trailblazer in London Lift Off Film Festival.

When not setting the world on fire, Lauren works as a Personal Assistant at DDPTV.
